Day of the African Child celebration is an annual event specially designed to celebrate the intellect and culture of the African child and promote support for quality education.
In commemoration of the International Day of the African Child 2024, Erudite Growth and Advancement Foundation (ErGAF Africa) on its Project Hope Alive Initiative mandate organized an event with the aim of celebrating African Children and inspiring stakeholders to commit to the education of all Nigerian Children especially the vulnerable and female children.
The event which was held at the Government Junior Secondary School, Jabi, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja Nigeria on the 20th of June 2024 With the theme: “Education for all African Children: The Time is Now” witnessed massive participation by the students, teachers, Policy Makers, parents, CSOs and Legislators.
The DAC 2024 includes Commemorative activities to highlight the educational challenges faced by many Nigerian children especially those in crisis areas and female. It features cultural dance and performance, debates, and spoken word, creative arts, children save the school charge to policy makers. Project Hope Alive initiative also awarded scholarships and massive educational support materials to enhance the learning experience of the over 3000 participants including the Government Junior Secondary School, Jabi, Kidsprenur Schools and other participating schools and called on stakeholders to commit to quality education for all Nigerian children especially the less privileged ones.
The President and Founder of ERGAF AFRICA, reiterated the commitment of the Foundation to ensure that The Nigerian child receive quality education that will enable them contribute positively to the development of the global society. The Principal of School and the Speaker of the Nigerian House of Representatives who was represented by his SA on Youth pledged better Legislative actions through budget and legislation to improve the learning conditions, affordable and quality education for all children.
